Bill Gerard, MD, serves as Executive Vice President of Value Based Care/Network Services, Chief Medical Officer of Health Plans for Prisma Health, and CEO of the inVio Health Network. Dr. Gerard brings a wealth of experience as an emergency medicine physician, board certified EMS medical director, and leader with a front-line view of the diverse clinical, social, and financial needs facing our communities.
From previous roles as a leader for the Midlands emergency group practice that served Prisma Health for many years and as the CEO/President of the Prisma Health Clinically Integrated Networks, he brings extensive knowledge of the community, clinician relationships, value-based care performance, and genuine care and commitment to making a difference to the populations we serve.
He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio followed by an Emergency Medicine residency at the University of South Carolina Columbia; he also received a master’s in medical management from the University of Southern California–Marshall School of Business.
